Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for the role of Lead Teacher in aThree year old class. You will collaborate with other teachers to create and implement effective educational activities for children across various developmental domains, in accordance with Early Learning Standards and school- approved curricula. The ideal candidate will tailor educational plans so that students grow cognitively, socially, emotionally, and in their faith.
Responsibilities
· Create and implement age-appropriate educational material and lesson plans across various developmental domains in accordance with Indiana Department of Education Early Learning Standards, and that align with the overall values and mission of MPCC Preschool.
· Adapt activities and material, learning environment, and styles to match student ability.
· Periodic assessment of student skills and developmental milestones to provide guidance and track students’ progress.
· Manage one or more assistant teachers within the classroom setting.
· Regular communication with families.
· Connect and build a personal relationship with each student.
· Oversees that the classroom is a safe, fun, and inviting environment.
· Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures.

Preferred Education/Experience
· Bachelor’s degree, Associates Degree, CDA, or other credential in Education or a related field preferred.
· Experience working with pre-school aged students.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail as well critical-thinking skills.
· Must pass required background check.
· Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Other physical demands include: sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, reaching, stooping, and working outside.
