b19 Consulting is partnered with a well-established power delivery firm seeking an experienced Senior Substation Engineer with a strong electrical utility background. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative, experienced team and support a diverse portfolio of clients.
Ideal skillset of the Senior Substation Engineer:
- Minimum of 5+ years of utility substation design experience (15kV up to 500kV)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or EIT with a clear path toward licensure
- Proficient in MicroStation (V8 or newer)
- Experience producing detailed designs for new substation layouts, including electrical schematics, bills of materials, and equipment specifications
- Ability to interpret vendor data and translate it into accurate design deliverables
- Proven capability to lead significant portions or full substation design projects
