Background
Midland ISD (MISD) has been awarded several grants to increase the LEA’s capacity to identify, enroll, and provide wraparound services to address the unique needs of homeless children and youth due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Position Function/Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Grant Project Coordinator is to support the Executive Director of Student Services and the Student Services Department by supporting grant applications and executing grants related to homeless children and youth. The Grant Project Coordinator will ensure that all grants are executed in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
Key skills for this position include: a proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; problem solving, work-stream management, and creative resourcefulness.
This is a 100% grant-funded position with an anticipated end date of July 31, 2024. Although the grant is expected to end on that date, additional funding may be obtained to extend the grant beyond the end date. Employment in this position is considered to be at-will and may be terminated at any time regardless of the end date of the grant.
