Gazda Penetar, P.C. is seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our growing law firm in Dunmore, Pennsylvania.
Our firm has served Northeastern Pennsylvania since the 1930s. We combine decades of legal experience and long-standing community relationships with a modern, technology-driven approach to client service and law office operations.
This position is ideal for an experienced paralegal who enjoys working directly with attorneys and clients, managing files, drafting documents, and helping move matters efficiently from intake through completion.
The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys in a variety of practice areas, including estate planning, estate administration, real estate matters, business matters, landlord-tenant matters, civil litigation, and criminal defense.
Responsibilities Include:
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court filings
- Assisting with estate administration and probate matters
- Preparing deeds and related real estate documents
- Assisting with quiet title actions, partition actions, and other real estate matters
- Maintaining and organizing case files
- Managing deadlines, calendars, and case progression
- Communicating with clients, courts, government agencies, and opposing counsel
- Conducting legal and factual research as needed
- Preparing materials for hearings, trials, sentencings, and client meetings
- Maintaining accurate records and file notes within Clio
- Supporting attorneys with case management and workflow organization
Qualifications:
- Prior paralegal experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office required
- Experience with Clio, estate administration, real estate matters, civil litigation, or criminal defense is a plus
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred
Compensation:
- $45,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
