Hiring Range: $55,723.20- $76,752.00
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
- Provides counseling sessions at our walk-in program using solution focused brief therapy and supportive counseling
- Assists in identifying treatment needs and goals for patients seeking referral for psychotherapy
- Provides pre-crisis supports including risk assessments and safety planning, collaborating with the crisis team when needed
- Provides patients with information regarding resources and activities within the community, making referrals as needed
- Maintains through and confidential records, completing all documentation in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- One or more of the following:
- Counselor credentialed from the New York Board of Mental Health Practitioners obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Psychologist credentialed from the New York Board of Psychology obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Social Worker credentialed from the New York Board of Social Work obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
