Project Manager – Electrical | Mission Critical / Data Center
Boise, ID (Treasure Valley) | Full-Time | On-Site
About the Opportunity
A well-established, employee-focused electrical contractor is expanding its mission critical group in Idaho and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead data center work in the Treasure Valley. With Kuna and the greater Boise market becoming one of the fastest-growing data center corridors in the West, this is a chance to get in early on a pipeline that's just getting started.
The organization has built its reputation on complex, schedule-driven electrical work and a collaborative, performance-driven culture — and is investing in the people who will carry that into a new market.
What's in It for You
Ownership of Your Project You'll own your project end to end — preconstruction and buyout through energization, commissioning, and closeout. This role suits someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where performance directly impacts outcomes and compensation.
Growth Path This is a build-out, not a backfill. Strong performers will have a clear runway into Senior Project Manager and operations leadership as the regional pipeline grows.
Relationship Building Serve as the face of the company with the general contractor, owner, engineers of record, commissioning agents, Idaho Power, and key vendors. Represent the organization at industry events, client meetings, and project pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Own project financials — budgets, forecasting, cost coding, cash flow, and collections
- Lead buyout and procurement strategy, including long-lead gear (switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, busway) and equipment release tracking
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and material logistics on a compressed mission critical schedule
- Drive change management, RFIs, submittals, and contract compliance
- Develop and maintain the electrical schedule in coordination with the GC's master schedule
- Partner with BIM/VDC and prefabrication teams to maximize offsite assembly and field productivity
- Support preconstruction, estimating, and value engineering on current and upcoming pursuits
- Lead OAC, coordination, and subcontractor meetings
- Coordinate the commissioning process (Level 1–5) with the Cx agent, owner, and controls partners
- Champion safety and quality standards in partnership with field leadership
- Manage project closeout, punch list, as-builts, and O&M turnover
- Mentor Project Engineers and Coordinators as the regional team grows
