Payroll & Human Resources Specialist
Pay: $26.00–$30.00 per hour

About the Position
Monument Hospitality is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll & Human Resources Specialist to join our corporate team.
This is a hands-on position responsible for processing payroll and supporting HR administration across multiple companies and operating locations. We are looking for someone who enjoys detailed work, takes ownership of deadlines, and understands the importance of getting payroll right — every time.
The ideal candidate has direct payroll processing experience and is comfortable working across multiple entities, systems, and deadlines. Experience with, and QuickBooks Desktop is required, experience with ADP RUN, ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
Payroll
- Process payroll accurately and on time for multiple entities and locations.
- Review timecards and work with managers to resolve missing punches, discrepancies, overtime questions, and other issues before payroll is submitted.
- Maintain employee pay rates, deductions, direct deposits, garnishments, PTO balances, reimbursements, bonuses, and other payroll information.
- Review payroll registers for accuracy prior to submission.
- Process payroll corrections and adjustments when necessary.
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, PTO, and direct deposit.
- Assist with payroll tax notices, quarterly and annual reporting, and W-2 processing.
- Record and reconcile payroll information in the payroll system.
- Maintain organized payroll records and supporting documentation for each entity.
Human Resources
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding and required employment documentation.
- Maintain employee information in ADP RUN and ADP Workforce Now.
- Process employee changes, including pay changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Maintain confidential personnel files and employee records.
- Assist with I-9 documentation and employment eligibility records.
- Support benefits enrollment and employee benefit changes.
- Assist with workers' compensation documentation, unemployment claims, and employment verifications.
- Maintain onboarding and offboarding checklists and ensure required documentation is completed.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of payroll, HR, accounting, or related experience.
- Hands-on payroll processing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience processing payroll for multiple companies, locations, or departments is a plus.
- Experience with ADP RUN and/or ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop required.
- Hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or other multi-location experience is a plus.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to investigate discrepancies.
- Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees and managers.
- High level of discretion when handling confidential employee and compensation information.

Compensation
$26.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has developed a solid foundation in payroll or HR administration and is looking for a position with broader responsibility and exposure to multi-entity payroll, human resources, accounting, and hospitality operations.
