Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as an AM/PM Restaurant Server at the Derailed venue within a dynamic hospitality environment. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar reservation systems.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, upsell specials and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, ensuring timely service during busy hours.
- Engage with guests to foster positive relations, handle inquiries professionally, and resolve any concerns promptly to uphold guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing and cashiering.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and provide memorable experiences.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages and menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Skilled in time management and multitasking during high-volume shifts without compromising service quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing check splitting when necessary.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
