Job Summary:
A Lead Line Cook plays a key role in the kitchen, working under the supervision of the executive chef and sous chef. Here are the main responsibilities and requirements for this position:
Responsibilities:
Oversee the chain of food preparation work done by line cooks1.
Prepare soups, salads, and sauces1.
Assist the head cook or chef in preparing entrées1.
Ensure that food health and safety regulations are followed1.
Supervise the work of line cooks to ensure that all given tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Ensure that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment1.
Ensure that all cooking stations and kitchen surfaces are cleaned and disinfected before and after each shift1.
Adhere to standard food rotation practices to reduce food wastage and minimize the risk of contamination1.
Assess the quality of delivered food supplies to ensure that it meets club standards1.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED1.
Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in culinary arts is advantageous.
Proven cooking experience.
Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
The ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment1.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
