We are currently hiring for a part-time position at our Granby Farm Store, with potentially more hours in the summer season. We are seeking someone with retail experience to care for the farm store in a welcoming and efficient manner. Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly and easily. Weekend and afternoon availability is a must as well as longer season availability from May through December. Year round work may be available.
Preference will be given to those candidates interested in long-term commitment to the position/store.
Responsibilities
- Keeping fresh produce on shelves stocked and accurately labeled
- Customer service including helping customers with purchases and questions about plants, produce and farm shares
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the store
- Assisting with maintenance of farm store grounds, including bedding plants and front garden
Requirements
- Ability to self motivate and follow a list – much of this position is performed independently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and easily, and to hustle through a physically busy day
- Experience in customer service and retail
- Familiarity with produce and garden plants a plus
- Weekend and evening availability

Pay: $15-16/hr based on experience, plus all the organic veggies you can eat
