Position: Interim Laboratory Manager
Job Summary
Maintains responsibility for overall operation of the clinical laboratory in consultation with and under the direction of Medical Directors (Pathologists) and the Regional Clinical Laboratory Directors. Develops, monitors and provides leadership for the financial, contracting, regulatory, accreditation and client services policies procedures for the clinical/anatomic laboratories. Selects appropriate instrumentation or test methodologies, develops and maintains appropriate Quality Assurance (QA) program, monitors testing and QA processes, including recording and reporting of results. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' clinical laboratory experience: Preferred
- One year's leadership experience: Preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
- Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License
- Current certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
Tentative Compensation Plan
- 26-week contract with opportunity to extend
- W2 Pay: $3,200/week, Paid Weekly
- Paid Housing
- 2 Round Trip Flights Home per Month
- 2 Paid Travel Days per Month
