Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse, including inventory control, order fulfillment, logistics, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.
This position will work with a team of professionals to perform a variety of tasks to ensure day-to-day functions of the Southfield & Ann Arbor Offices / Warehouses are kept running smoothly.
Primary Functions & Duties:
· Ensure company tools, gang boxes, trailers, safety equipment, etc. are kept clean and functional.
· Ensure tool locations are tracked utilizing the Tool Tracking Software program.
· Assist Project Managers / Purchasing Agent in purchasing and tracking materials, tools, and miscellaneous Direct Job Expense (DJE) items.
· Ensure Southfield / Ann Arbor office maintenance issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
· Organization of Southfield / Ann Arbor warehouses; keeping the warehouses clean and free of clutter.
· Work in conjunction with Electrical Foreman / Project Managers to coordinate the delivery of tools, equipment, and other DJE items. Collaborate with production planning team to ensure timely delivery of goods.
· Keeping records of packaging slips and miscellaneous invoices from Vendors for items delivered to jobsites.
· Miscellaneous deliveries / and pick-ups.
· Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping
· Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity.
· Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary materials and supplies.
· Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
· Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
· General upkeep of the Southfield Main Headquarters including oversight of subcontractors for building equipment maintenance.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent experience and training required.
· Electrical Construction knowledge preferred.
· Knowledge of electrical materials, installation practices, and electrical tooling preferred.
· Must have a basic working knowledge of computers, MS Office products and tooling tracking program.
· Must be a self-starter, accurate and possess good communication skills.
· Must be flexible and able to multitask.
· Proficient in production planning and procurement processes.
· Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings.
· Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
· Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality control.
