Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to encourage upselling opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain merchandising standards to ensure the store looks appealing and inviting
- Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, cash register operations, and balancing cash at shift end
- Maintain knowledge of store products, including grocery items if applicable, to answer customer questions confidently
- Support store operations by supervising team members when needed and ensuring adherence to phone etiquette and communication standards
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations, cash handling, and transaction processing
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and stock management is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform physical tasks required in a retail environment
