Local Boise wholesale lumber distribution company seeking a qualified CDL driver who is energetic, hardworking and dependable.
Must have 1 or more years' experience driving. Experience with flatbed trailers a plus. This individual will be responsible to drive daily local runs across the delivery area and other duties as assigned. Drivers will be home daily and will generally not work weekends.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Local delivery drops to multiple customers
- Prepare required paperwork for distribution and shipping of products
- Daily safety check on equipment
Qualifications and Skills
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of one (1) years experience as a driver (preferably with flatbed experience)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Experience driving flatbeds, strapping and tarping loads.
- Must have an excellent driving safety record.
- Understand DOT requirements.
- Read, write and understand the English language.
- Work independently, at times under pressure
- Sense of urgency; meeting of deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
