Emerald is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse, inventory, and production operations. This role is responsible for the safe movement of materials, chassis components, finished goods, and incoming/outgoing shipments throughout the facility and yard. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience operating industrial equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment in warehouse and yard environments
- Load, unload, transport, stage, and organize materials and products
- Assist with receiving incoming deliveries and verifying shipment accuracy
- Support inventory control activities, including counts and material tracking
- Deliver materials to production departments in a timely manner
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with 5S and safety standards
- Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport
- Assist with yard organization and chassis/material movement as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and operational policies
- Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, procurement, and production teams to support workflow efficiency
- Complete required documentation and inventory transactions accurately
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Valid forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Experience with sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment preferred
- Basic inventory and material handling knowledge
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment for extended periods
This position operates in a manufacturing, warehouse, and yard environment with exposure to moving equipment, production activity, varying weather conditions, and industrial noise levels. Proper PPE is required at all times.
Starting Rate: $18.00 per hour
