The Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and inspecting manufactured parts to ensure they meet production, safety, and quality standards. This role requires maintaining an organized work area and following all safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience applying industrial coatings, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The Painter prepares, paints, and inspects parts to meet production, safety, and quality standards while keeping the paint area organized.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming parts as required.
- Mix and apply paints, primers, powder coatings, and finish according to work orders and specifications.
- Use and take care of spray machines, coating systems, hand tools, and other painting equipment.
- Read work orders, drawings, and technical instructions to confirm the paint requirements.
- Inspect finished parts for color, coverage, finish quality, and defects; correct or report issues.
- Track parts, maintain material flow, and monitor paint and coating supplies.
- Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and handle coatings, solvents, and materials properly.
- Support production schedules, complete required training, and perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with industrial painting, powder coating, car body painting, or similar coating work is preferred.
- Ability to use paint equipment, tools, measuring devices, and production papers safely and correctly.
- Good attention to detail, basic math skills, and understanding of coating quality and safety rules.
- Clear communication, reliable attendance, and ability to work independently or with a team.
Physical Requirements
- Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and do repeat hand and arm movements during the workday.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 lbs and safely move large items using the right equipment.
- Visually inspect parts and wear required PPE, including a respirator when required.
Educational and Skill Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but reading is essential. Painting experience applying industrial coatings and paints to various manufactured components, and a good work ethic.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
