Field Network Engineer
Project: LA County General Election (November 2026)
Pay: $45.00 per hour + Overtime
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (4 Weeks)
Start Date: October 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM)
Location: Los Angeles County (assignments provided during training; we will make every effort to place you near your ZIP code)

We are seeking 100 Field Network Engineers to support the LA County General Election. This is an excellent opportunity for networking professionals who enjoy hands-on technical work, field deployments, and troubleshooting network infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
Paid training will be provided before deployment.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, install, and configure routers, wireless access points, and iPads at assigned voting centers.
- Perform network setup, connectivity testing, and system validation.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN and WLAN equipment.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Transition to "Break-Fix" standby support to quickly respond to network or equipment failures.
- Document installation activities, troubleshooting steps, and service updates.
- Follow election security procedures and technical deployment standards.
- Collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and election personnel to ensure successful site operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with LAN/WLAN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience installing and configuring routers, switches, wireless devices, and network equipment.
- Understanding of networking concepts, interfaces, IP addressing, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and common network protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Reliable transportation is preferred, as travel throughout Los Angeles County may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing field technical support or network deployments.
- Familiarity with Cisco, Cradlepoint, Meraki, Aruba, or similar networking equipment.
- Experience supporting large-scale technology rollouts or public sector projects is a plus.
