Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry
Market leading healthcare organization looking for a Pharmacy Technicians in Fort Worth, TX!
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76177
Pay Rate: $21-$22/hour
Contract length: 13 weeks
Important Requirements
This position requires onsite training for the first 2-3 months before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office and maintain excellent attendance.
Schedule
Regular Schedule
Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM CT
Occasional Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT
Training Schedule
Week 1: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT
Week 2: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM CT
Work Arrangement
Onsite during the initial 2-3 months of training.
After successful training, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule:
- 2 days onsite
- 3 days remote
Position Summary
This is a Pharmacy Technician Data Entry position supporting pharmacists with prescription processing and medication fulfillment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accurate, and experienced in pharmacy data entry while maintaining patient confidentiality and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform pharmacy data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, package, count, pour, weigh, and label medications.
- Fill and refill prescriptions according to physician orders.
- Process insurance claims and payment information.
- Maintain accurate prescription records and documentation.
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
- Provide excellent customer service and support patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician data entry experience.
- Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) in good standing.
- Current PTCB or NHA CPhT certification in good standing.
- Completion of a State Board-approved Pharmacy Technician training program.
- Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to report onsite daily during training with reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a retail, mail order, or healthcare pharmacy environment.
- Central Fill experience is a plus.
