Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Sprinkler Fitters for an immediate start in Sparks, NV!
WEEKLY PAY --- LONG TERM PROJECT --- OVERTIME
- PAY: $30-$38/hour (based upon experience)
- PER DIEM: $90/day worked (if outside 60 miles from job site)
- HOURS: Shifts will be 10-hour workdays, 6 days per week (60 hours/week)
- SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Saturday; 7:00am – 5:30pm
- START DATE: ASAP
- DURATION: 6+ months
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Sprinkler Fitters with experience in fire protection, fire sprinkler systems, or commercial plumbing. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing fire suppression piping systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with piping systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems in commercial and industrial facilities
- Measure, cut, thread, and groove pipe for system installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fire protection drawings
- Install hangers, supports, valves, and other system components
- Perform system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation
- Repair or replace damaged or defective piping, valves, or fittings
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on jobsite activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety standards and codes
- Complete job documentation and reports as required
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Fire Suppression Fitter, Sprinkler Fitter, or Commercial/Industrial Plumber
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, wet and dry systems, standpipes, and related equipment
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willing to get)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with pipefitting tools and equipment (threaders, groovers, cutters, lifts, etc.)
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry standards (NFPA codes a plus)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and work in tight or confined spaces
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying jobsite conditions
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
