Responsible for selling, planning, and controlling every stage of roofing installations, repairs, and renovation projects to residential & commercial properties. Ensures work is completed on time and within budget while maintaining safe working conditions for all roofing and construction teams.
Responsibilities
- Solicit, promote, and sell business
- Work with the General Manager to determine materials and manpower required for each project
- Estimate project timelines and coordinate with teams across varying trades as appropriate
- Determine materials required for each project and devise delivery schedules to ensure timber, shingles, insulation, guttering, fascias, and other materials are available when needed
- Plan and confirm availability of scaffolding, safety equipment, and other project requirements
- Supervise teams and inspect work quality to ensure standards are met
- Ensure full compliance with all safety guidelines
- Prepare and deliver progress reports for all roofing and construction work
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in roofing, construction, sales, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure and when faced with unexpected delays
- Strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, and stretching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Travel may be required
- Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards
- Must be available on-call to address delays, emergencies, weather events, and other jobsite issues
