FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance with installation, setup, and repair of computer, software, or peripherals via troubleshooting or physical repair to computers, software or peripherals. This position works within a team to provide excellent technical support to district personnel and students at multiple schools and other district facilities.
- Provides direct technical assistance and support for classroom technology (interactive displays, projectors, in-classroom audio systems).
- Performs setup, troubleshooting, and repair services for computers, Chromebooks, printers, mobile devices and accessories.
- Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots district-based printers.
- Supports district-based cloud applications (Zoom, Microsoft Office 365, Google apps for Education, etc.)
- Establishes and maintain local site-based network connections which may include wiring, cable preparation, setting up workstations, local area networks, and any other network attached devices.
- Monitors, manages, and closes work tickets via the district based technical work order ticketing system.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Skill in troubleshooting various software and hardware issues and provide appropriate and timely solutions.
- Skills in disassembly, parts replacement, and reassembly of laptop and desktop computers, projectors, and some mobile devices.
- Ability to install, maintain, support computers and software.
- Ability to problem-solve and think analytically.
- Ability to communicate clearly orally as well as in written and electronic formats.
- Ability to perform minor network and network cable repairs.
- Minimum: Associates Degree related to the occupation and 2 years IT support related work experience or High School Diploma plus 5 years of experience in an IT support related field.
- Desirable: Associates Degree (or higher) and 5 years IT support related experience.
- Desirable: Industry Certifications: A+ or Net+
