POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to to provide medical assistance and education to our students and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide basic first aid for illness and injury according to written school policy and procedures

Maintain student health records

Assist with the school health program in the building

Provide communication link between building and the Director of Health Services

Monitor compliance with immunization laws

Monitor communicable and nuisance diseases and report to the Director of Health Services

Maintain records and report deemed necessary to carry out the school health program including a weekly health room report
-
Maintain the health room and equipment and notify the Director of Health Services of safety concerns

Under supervision of the Health Services Director and as per training administer medications following district medication policies and assist with special health care procedures

Provide a link between home and school for health concerns

Provide health information for special services team
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

High School diploma or GED required
-
Must be able to successfully complete medications administration, First Aid, and CPR training.
- High degree of confidentiality and independence required
-
Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities including but not limited to, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting.
