Huguley Emergency Physicians (HEP) is a family owned, independent, physician-led group at Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South in Burleson, TX. We're building a physician-APP team-based model. We're looking for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner who wants to practice in a real partnership, with mentorship, close collaboration, and shared accountability for patient care.

Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with Acute Care Certification
- Active Texas APRN license
- Emergency or acute care experience preferred (1 year); new grads considered
- Current BLS/ACLS certification
- ATLS certification required
Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Onboarding & Support
- Onboarding tailored to your experience level, adjusted over time based on ongoing evaluations
- Newer to EM: triage-focused orientation with close physician and Lead APP oversight, gradually moving into Fast Track
- Prior ED experience: brief orientation to Huguley-specific workflows, earlier independence on lower-acuity patients
- Comprehensive chart and EKG review, ongoing debriefs, and check-ins with the Lead APP or Medical Director
Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Scope of Practice
- Triage/PIT: focused Medical screening exams, initiating labs/imaging, flagging high-acuity patients
- Patient management: full H&Ps, differential diagnosis development, ordering/interpreting diagnostics, disposition in coordination with physicians
- Direct physician involvement for time-critical protocols, advanced procedures, high-risk pediatric patients, and complex considerations
