Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging virtual tutoring sessions for K–8 students.
- Personalize instruction based on each student's academic needs and learning style.
- Teach Reading, Math, or both depending on your qualifications.
- Build positive relationships with students and families.
- Create or adapt lesson materials using provided resources.
- Maintain detailed session notes after each lesson.
Qualifications
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Education or related field is a plus).
- Strong understanding of elementary and/or middle school Reading and Math.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet teaching environment.
- Comfortable using Google Meet, Slack, and educational technology.
- Dependable, organized, and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or former classroom teacher
- Certified teacher
- Experienced virtual tutor
- Reading intervention experience
- Experience with standardized test preparation
- Experience working with students in grades K–8
Compensation & Schedule
- Starting pay: $25/hour
- Weekly payments via Stripe
- Flexible scheduling
- Most students meet once or twice per week
- Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability is preferred
