Overview:
Unite for HER is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting those with breast and/or ovarian cancer. The Member Services Support Specialist Role is a technical, detail-driven role responsible for QuickBooks Online bookkeeping, complex Excel-based reporting, order/database management, and a customer-facing component. This is not a data entry role. Rather, we are seeking someone who can independently manage financial transactions, build and manipulate large datasets, and provide timely and compassionate customer service from day one. The position requires strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and excellent communication skills. Because our work directly touches the lives of those navigating a cancer diagnosis, we’re looking for someone who brings genuine empathy and kindness to their work, along with a desire to contribute to something bigger than themselves. The ideal candidate is a team player who can bridge data, systems, and people to help operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage financial records and transactions using QuickBooks Online.
· Manage nutrition services offerings, including order-to-payment workflow (processing, vendor coordination, member support).
· Build, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets, pulling from multiple data sources.
· Serve as a point of contact for program outreach, including program members, internal teams, and vendors.
Required Technical Qualifications
· 1+ years(s) hands-on experience in QuickBooks Online (not QuickBooks Desktop) managing invoicing, payment processing, and financial records.
· 1+ year(s) hands-on Excel experience navigating and managing workbooks, data entry and formatting, basic formulas and functions, data organization and cleansing, and simple data visualization.
· Working knowledge of relational database structure (tables, relationships, querying/reporting logic) and comfort working across multiple internal databases.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills – problem solving mentality.
Required Interpersonal Qualifications
· Solid customer service experience – this role is a point of contact or members, vendors, and internal staff managing the order to payment process.
· A compassionate, kind, and patient-centered approach, with sensitivity to the needs of individual affected by cancer.
· Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and contribute to the larger organization
· Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Intermediate Excel proficiency allowing for improved data analysis, automation of repetitive tasks, and management of dynamic datasets. Comfort with pivot tables, conditional formatting, and formulas such as CONCAT, VLOOKUP, IFERROR, and IF statements. Ability to manage large datasets for reporting and analysis.
· Direct database query/exporting experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Pay: $51,307.00 - $55,786.00 per year
