At SYNERGY HomeCare we have a great pay plan and benefits. We are the Employer of Choice for the best Home Care Professionals in Manatee County. We have new clients and available hours right now. However, we are only looking for the best Home Health Aides to join our growing team.
If you are a dedicated, reliable, experienced HHA and want to work with a great team led by caring owners who are personally involved in the day-to-day operations, then please apply. We have a wide variety of clients from 24/7 to occasional respite to give family caregivers a break. Clients that are 7 days a week and some that are only once or twice a month.
We offer and schedule a lot of short shifts, 2 or 3 hours in length. (We also have 4, 6, 8, and 12 hours shifts). HHAs who work short shifts are paid more per hour.
Compensation Plan
- Base pay for an experienced, proven HHA is $17.50 per hour for shifts that are 4 hours or longer.
- Three-hour shifts pay $2 more per hour (i.e. $19.5 per hour)
- Two-hour shifts pay $5 more per hour (i.e. $22.5 per hour)
- One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour
- All caregivers earn PAID TIME OFF, including PRN staff.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to patients with diverse needs.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and documenting medical information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, ensuring a safe environment and engaging activities.
- Assist the client with self-administered medicine as prescribed following home healthcare regulations and protocols; perform catheter care when necessary.
- Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe mobility.
- Maintain cleanliness of the home environment through light housekeeping tasks like bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living spaces clean-up. Laundry, trash disposal, dishwashing, floor maintenance, to promote overall health and comfort.
Required Qualifications

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
- CPR Certification is required. (Must be from an in-person class, not an online class)
- Willing to accept shifts anywhere in Manatee County is required.
- Prior experience working with individuals with seniors, or people with disabilities, at home, or in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (CPR/First Aid).
- Familiarity with home health care assistance, hospice care, dementia care, and end-of-life support.
- Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and patient transfers.
- Experience working within home & community care environments; knowledge of home health regulations is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends is a plus
- Hoyer or Sera Lift expertise and experience is a plus

Pay: $17.50 - $22.50 per hour
