Duties
- Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other construction machinery to perform tasks such as grading, digging, lifting, and material transport
- Safely maneuver equipment like front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery across construction sites
- Assist with concrete mixing operations and support foundation work by managing concrete mixers effectively
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
- Collaborate with site supervisors to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and regulations
- Load and unload materials using appropriate machinery while ensuring proper placement for construction activities
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational reports for project documentation
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active construction sites
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machinery such as Caterpillar equipment and other major brands
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices and procedures
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy trucks including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and tanker vehicles
- Hands-on experience with various types of construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery
- Knowledge of site-specific safety regulations and ability to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
- Prior experience working with concrete mixers or supporting concrete-related tasks is a plus
