Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Millwright/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, repairing, and fabricating in the steel mill industry. Your expertise will ensure the smooth daily operations, uphold safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Utilize welding skills, including welding techniques, to fabricate and repair metal components as needed.
- Operate industrial machinery such as scissor lifts and other field service equipment safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose issues with hydraulics and pneumatics..
- Read and interpret mechanical schematics to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting pneumatic systems and equipment repairs to optimize performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to welding and industrial mechanics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing facilities with a strong background in industrial maintenance or mechanical work.
- Skilled in welding techniques relevant to standards; experience with various metals preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; OSHA certification is a plus.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanica issues quickly and accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills when collaborating with internal teams or external vendors during field service operations.
- Effective communication skills in English/Spanish; ability to interpret technical documentation clearly.
