About the role: We manage a portfolio of 20+ single-family rental homes across North St. Louis County. We need a reliable, self-directed maintenance tech to handle work orders, unit turnovers, and inspection prep. You’ll work independently from a mobile work-order app with photo documentation — no micromanaging, just clear tickets and accountability.
What you’ll do:
- 1 to 3 Full days a week(you choose which week days).
- Complete tenant work orders: plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, supply lines), drywall patch/paint, doors and hardware, outlets/switches/fixtures, appliance hookups, and other related work.
- Make-ready turnovers between tenants
- Prep units for housing authority inspections and knock out re-inspection punch lists
- Basic HVAC: filters, thermostats, condensate lines (EPA 608 a strong plus)
- Document all work with before/after photos in our app
- Provide your own tools.
What you need:
- 2+ years general maintenance, property maintenance, or handyman experience
- Own tools and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Comfortable working in tenant-occupied homes — professional and courteous
- Smartphone for work orders and photo documentation
- Pass background check
Bonus points:
- EPA 608 certification
- Section 8 / HQS or NSPIRE inspection experience
- Experience working solo across scattered properties
Pay & perks:
