This a new Lifeguard position for COLLEGE age/young adults 18 years +. The hours of this position is between 5:30 AM & 4:30 PM. Highlights for this position as follows:

The position would be for Fall 2026 – Spring 2027.
As a Lifeguard at the Y, you’ll do more than watch the water — you’ll help create a welcoming, family-friendly environment where everyone can learn, play, and grow. You’ll be part of a team that lives out the Y’s mission to build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all — and you’ll gain leadership, communication, and teamwork skills that look great on any résumé.
What You’ll Do:
- Keep swimmers safe by maintaining constant awareness of the pool area.
- Enforce pool rules in a positive and respectful way.
- Respond quickly and calmly to any emergencies.
- Provide great customer service and support to members of all ages.
- Help with swim programs, events, and pool upkeep.
What You’ll Need:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (First time certification and/or Recertification offered).
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Strong swimming skills and a positive attitude!
