Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Restaurant Host/Hostess to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and genuine friendliness as they arrive, setting a positive tone for their visit
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table turnover
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to ensure a professional appearance
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate guest seating and special requests
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings
- Assist guests with special needs or requests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary to ensure guest relations are maintained at the highest level
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and clearly
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous but not mandatory
- Professional phone etiquette and courteous demeanor at all times
