Job SummaryWe are seeking motivated Concrete Coating Technicians — both entry-level and experienced — to join the Sparks Coatings team. In this role, you will prepare surfaces and apply professional-grade concrete coatings (epoxy, polyurea, polyaspartic, decorative overlays, etc.) at residential and commercial job sites across the region. This is a hands-on, field-based position that requires travel to client locations.Responsibilities- Prepare concrete surfaces through grinding, and crack repair- Apply epoxy, polyurea, polyaspartic, and other coating systems- Mix and apply decorative flake, metallic, or solid color coatings- Operate grinders, vacuums, squeegees, rollers, and related equipment- Follow safety protocols and properly use PPE at all times- Communicate professionally with clients on job sites- Maintain equipment and keep job site clean and organized- Travel to assigned job sites (local and regional)Requirements- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation- Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, kneeling, standing for extended periods)- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship- Reliable work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a teamPreferred (not required)- Prior experience with concrete coatings, epoxy flooring, or surface preparation- Experience operating floor grinders or shot blasters- OSHA 10 certificationWe welcome applicants at all experience levels — training provided for the right candidates.Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare concrete surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and etching to ensure proper adhesion of coatings
- Apply various concrete coatings, including sealers, epoxies, urethanes, and decorative finishes using spray guns, rollers, or brushes
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to perform surface preparation and coating application
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions to accurately follow project specifications
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks as needed during coating projects
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure coatings are applied evenly and meet industry standards
- Coordinate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or surface restoration
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation related to concrete mixing, pumping, or surface preparation
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for construction projects
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment in a construction environment
- Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices for working at heights or in confined spaces
- Prior involvement in renovation projects involving plastering, stucco, trim carpentry, or roofing is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding conditions
