Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Industrial Sandblaster, where you'll play a vital role in preparing surfaces for finishing by utilizing advanced abrasive blasting techniques. Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal, wood, or composite surfaces for painting or coating applications.
- Set up and adjust abrasive blasting machines, ensuring proper pressure levels and nozzle configurations for different materials and project requirements.
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts, cranes, hand tools, and other machinery to move components efficiently within the workspace.
- Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting equipment, including cleaning nozzles, replacing abrasive media, and troubleshooting operational issues.
- Assist with surface preparation tasks such as masking, sanding, or minor auto body repairs when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing protective gear and maintaining a clean work environment to prevent accidents.
Skills
- Proficiency with forklift operation, cranes, and other materials handling equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication.
- Experience with industrial painting techniques such as airless paint spraying and auto painting.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments during surface preparation.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
