About the Role
As a Precision CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations by transforming raw materials into high-tolerance components. You will leverage your expertise in CNC milling and G-code programming to drive production efficiency and ensure the highest quality standards for our specialized industrial products.
Responsibilities-
Operate 3-5 axis VMC milling machines to produce complex parts that meet rigorous engineering specifications.

Execute machine setups, tooling changes, and offsets to optimize production cycles and minimize downtime.

Interpret intricate technical drawings and GD&T requirements to ensure part geometry accuracy.

Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment to maintain strict quality control.

Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure long-term equipment reliability and peak performance.

Utilize overhead cranes for safe material handling and part loading/unloading.

Collaborate with the production team to streamline workflows and maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop floor.

Document quality metrics and production data to ensure traceability and continuous improvement.

High school diploma or equivalent.

5+ years of professional experience in CNC machining.

Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting CNC programs.

Strong grasp of shop math and geometric calculations.

Demonstrated ability to work with G-code and M-code.

Experience with CNC machine setup and changeover procedures.

Associate’s degree or technical certification in Machining or Manufacturing.

Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software.

OSHA safety certification.

Previous experience with overhead crane operation and forklift certification.

Background in heavy industrial or rail-related manufacturing.
