Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure successful execution of roofing projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for overseeing job site activities, managing crews and subcontractors, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
This position involves travel to sites across Houston, Central Texas, and nearby areas, with project-based schedules. Roles are planned to support returning home regularly instead of extended overnight travel.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage all phases of commercial roofing projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
· Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
· Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
· Manage on-site crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
· Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
· Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and schedules.
· Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
· Provide leadership and mentorship to field staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
· Must be willing to travel to various job site locations within Texas.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years minimum experience in commercial roofing, with 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
· Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, metal roofing, ect)
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members
· Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
· OSHA 30 certification
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent
