Where Advanced Cardiac and Neuro Critical Care Converge
Some ICUs specialize in one area. CNICU gives you exposure to it all.
The Cardiac Neuro ICU (CNICU) at Deaconess Midtown is a 28-bed critical care unit dedicated to caring for some of the hospital's most complex patients. From acute strokes and subdural bleeds to cardiogenic shock, post-cardiac arrest care, acute MI, sepsis, and renal failure, nurses on this unit care for high-acuity patients requiring advanced interventions and constant clinical vigilance.
What sets CNICU apart is the level of specialized care provided. Nurses gain experience with CRRT, EKOS therapy, Impella devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, post-vascular procedures, and other advanced critical care treatments. With dialysis capability in nearly every patient room, this unit is designed to deliver comprehensive, cutting-edge care at the bedside.
This isn't just an ICU—it's a place where highly skilled nurses care for some of the most challenging cases in the region while working alongside an expert team dedicated to excellence.
If you're looking for a unit that will challenge you, sharpen your expertise, and place you at the forefront of critical care nursing, CNICU is waiting for you.
