Our Laundry Aides play an important behind-the-scenes role in resident care by making sure clean linens, clothing, and other laundry items are available when and where they are needed.

As a Laundry Aide, you'll help keep our residents' clothing, linens, and living spaces clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:

Collecting, sorting, counting, checking, and weighing soiled linens and clothing

Operating washers and dryers and following proper laundry procedures
-
Using appropriate stain-removal techniques
-
Ironing, folding, inspecting, and organizing clean laundry
-
Delivering clean linens and clothing to the appropriate locations throughout the facility
-
Maintaining an adequate supply of clean linens and laundry supplies
-
Keeping resident rooms and public areas clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
-
Following established cleaning, infection control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures
-
Properly using cleaning products, disinfectants, equipment, and personal protective equipment
-
Following manufacturer instructions and safety procedures when using chemicals and equipment
-
Keeping laundry, housekeeping, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
-
Cleaning and properly storing laundry equipment
-
Monitoring supplies and communicating supply needs to supervisors
-
Completing required work records and following established cleaning and laundry schedules
-
Reporting hazardous conditions, equipment malfunctions, or other concerns
-
Using equipment and resources efficiently and responsibly
-
Working collaboratively with team members to support the overall needs of the campus
Required:

High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
-
At least one year of housekeeping or laundry experience
-
Familiarity with common laundry appliances and equipment
-
Ability to learn routine machine operations and follow established procedures
-
Ability to accurately track laundry quantities and maintain production or inventory records
We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and takes pride in their work. Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is helpful, but we're also looking for individuals who are willing to learn and work as part of a team.
