Job Summary

Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service through phone communication and in-person interactions
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders using healthcare management software and EMR/EHR systems
- Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, utilizing phone etiquette to address inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Perform accurate data entry of patient information, insurance details, and medical records into electronic health record systems
- Assist patients with health insurance questions, documentation requirements, and general healthcare support
- Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive medical information with attention to detail and compliance standards
- Support medical office operations by coordinating with healthcare providers, managing documentation flow, and ensuring timely follow-up
Experience
- Experience in a customer service or client-facing role within a healthcare setting or call center environment is preferred, but not required
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records (EHR) management systems
- Familiarity with dental terminology, health insurance processes, and healthcare support procedures is preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy in data entry and communication
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with a focus on phone call management and customer service problem-solving
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare support role involving analysis skills and technical proficiency is advantageous
