Position Summary
As an ABA Mid-Level Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing individualized ABA programs in collaboration with the BCBA, ensuring alignment with each client's unique needs and goals. Your knowledge and skills will help enhance therapy outcomes and contribute to the overall success and growth of the ABA program. This is a great opportunity to expand your clinical leadership skills, support behavior technicians, and make a meaningful difference for clients and families.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the BCBA to design, modify, and implement ABA programs tailored to each client's needs and goals.
- Review and update behavior intervention plans based on data analysis and progress monitoring.
- Oversee accurate and timely data collection, entry, graphing, and interpretation.
- Build strong relationships with families by providing progress updates, addressing concerns, and helping generalize skills into daily routines.
- Coordinate team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to support behavior technicians.
- Complete session notes, reports, program updates, and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Respond promptly to cancellations, remain reachable, and follow the approved scheduling and rerouting process.
- Accurately record all time worked and business travel. Obtain advance approval before exceeding assigned administrative time, while still reporting all time actually worked.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods during therapy sessions.
- Capacity to bend, stoop, kneel, and physically engage with clients as needed.
- Visual and auditory acuity to observe and respond to client behaviors accurately.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $35.00-$38.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Paid sick leave in accordance with California state and local laws.
- Eligibility to participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan; a waiting period may apply.
- Professional development and training opportunities.
- Opportunity to qualify for a 20-hour weekly pay guarantee after meeting the eligibility standards.
- Mileage and necessary business-expense reimbursement, where applicable.
Schedule, Service Area, and Caseload Expectations
- You must be available Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This availability is non-negotiable, although actual scheduled hours may vary.
- You must accept reasonable in-person assignments within a 30-mile radius of your assigned service area in Hayward.
- You are expected to maintain at least 15 billable service hours per full workweek when sufficient suitable work is offered.
- If a session is cancelled, you must remain available, promptly follow the rerouting process, and accept a reasonable replacement assignment. Cancelled sessions may not be independently rescheduled or made up outside approved procedures.
- Administrative and nonbillable work, including report writing, documentation, meetings, and training, should generally not exceed 10% of billable hours unless additional time is approved. All time actually worked must still be recorded.
Pathway to Guaranteed Weekly Pay
This position begins without guaranteed weekly hours. After six months of active employment, you may become eligible for a written guarantee of minimum weekly pay equal to 20 hours at your regular base rate.
- We may review eligibility after 90 days and shorten the six-month qualification period based on consistently maintaining 15 or more billable hours, required availability, acceptance of assignments, timely documentation, appropriate administrative time, clinical performance, attendance, compliance, and caseload needs.
- The 90-day review does not automatically create a guarantee. Guaranteed hours begin only after written approval.
- The written guarantee will explain how declined work, employee-requested restrictions, absences or leave, and failure to remain available or follow rerouting procedures affect the weekly minimum. All hours actually worked will be paid.
Your Knowledge and Skills
- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, sociology, or another related field.
- You have at least two years of experience providing ABA intervention services.
- Data drives you; you excel at collecting and reviewing data to track client progress.
- Communication is one of your superpowers; you interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- You embrace connecting with others and thrive in an inclusive and diverse environment.
- You are a master of time management and organization.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English is preferred based on current client and caregiver needs.
