Job Description: Outside Sales Representative
Cannon Boiler Works, Inc. is a Pittsburgh-based company specializing in industrial steam systems, boiler equipment, heat recovery equipment, and field service support. Since 1972, we have provided engineered equipment and service solutions to industrial and institutional facilities throughout the region.
We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to grow sales of boiler systems, Cannon manufactured products, and industrial service work within our territory.
Position Overview
The Outside Sales Representative develops and maintains relationships with industrial customers to identify opportunities for equipment sales, manufactured products, and service work related to steam and boiler systems in the Western Pennsylvania and surrounding industrial markets.
This role involves regular visits to industrial facilities, engineering firms, and contractors to understand customer needs and provide practical solutions. Sales opportunities may range from maintenance and repair work to larger capital equipment projects, which often have longer sales cycles.
The position works closely with Cannon’s engineering, service, and internal sales teams to develop proposals and support customer projects.
Key Responsibilities
Identify opportunities for equipment sales, repair services, maintenance programs, field labor, and Cannon manufactured products.
- Develop relationships with mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and industrial end users to identify project opportunities.
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, lunch and learns, and follow-up with existing and past customers
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and technical solutions
- Maintain an organized pipeline of sales opportunities and customer activity using the company CRM system
- Represent Cannon Boiler Works at industry events and trade shows.

Additional Information
- While you will work primarily away from the office, you will be required at times to perform various tasks in the office during regular business hours.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
