We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual professional to join our team as a Cook, Packer, and Expediter. Quick service Japanese restaurant, requires speedy service under 8 minutes per order, and amazing customer service for our sushi bar clientele.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of dishes with precision, adhering to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food prep tools
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures meet strict safety standards to prevent contamination
- Pack meals accurately for delivery or service, maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Expedite orders by coordinating between kitchen stations to ensure timely completion of dishes
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and follow food safety sanitizing procedures throughout shifts
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or culinary roles within restaurants or catering environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Experience with high-volume production cooking and recipe adherence in fast-paced settings
- Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Bilingual proficiency in [specify languages], enabling effective communication with team members and customers
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements, menu planning, and fine dining standards is preferred
