About the Role: FRIDAY NIGHT - SUNDAY NIGHT ONLY
At Doggie Daze Kennel, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, clean, and stress-free environment where every dog receives individualized care and attention. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Kennel Attendant who genuinely enjoys working with dogs and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility.
This is a physically active, hands-on position that requires someone who can work independently, stay organized, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Every day is different, and no two dogs are alike, so flexibility and strong observational skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, feeding, and exercise for boarding and daycare dogs.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for all animals in our care.
- Interact with clients effectively, managing communications in person, by phone, and via email.
- Maintain accurate records, complete boarding forms, and administer medications as necessary.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets, identifying any signs of stress or illness.
- Supervise pets during outdoor activities and ensure their safety and enjoyment.
- Adhere to strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols for all kennel areas.
- Working independently while managing time efficiently and completing tasks without constant supervision.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be 16 years of age or older.
- Experience or comfort working with animals.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
- Must be available to work holidays, as these are our busiest boarding periods.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully.
