Maintenance and Reliability Technician - Tier 2
Position Summary
The Maintenance and Reliability Technician - Tier 2 is a skilled, hands-on expert responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing car wash equipment and facility systems across Raceway Car Wash locations. This role supports both scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service needs, while providing technical assistance to store managers and collaborating with other technicians and apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform preventative maintenance on tunnel systems, pay stations, vacuums, blowers, and facility support equipment
- Perform scheduled and emergency service repairs on car wash equipment across assigned markets
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical (including AC power and controls), mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Analyze equipment failures and implement timely, effective corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend long-term repair solutions
- Respond to service calls independently and prioritize repairs based on operational impact
- Assist with and support site renovations, equipment upgrades, and new site builds
- Provide onsite and phone technical support to Store Managers and site teams
- Guide and support Maintenance and Reliability - Apprentices during repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, parts usage, and service notes in UpKeep
- Complete and submit expense reports accurately and within company guidelines
- Maintain assigned service vehicle, tools, and diagnostic equipment in professional working order
- Monitor parts usage and communicate inventory needs proactively
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA standards and Raceway safety policies
- Consistently model and enforce proper PPE usage
- Continue mastering Raceway Technician Trainings and pursue advancement opportunities
- Communicate clearly with Maintenance and Reliability Manager regarding site conditions, major repairs, and improvement recommendations
- Support emergency service needs, including occasional evenings or weekends as required

Qualifications
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues
- Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to document work orders, repairs, and parts usage accurately
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Pay: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
