About the Position
Our FOH Support Staff makes up our hostesses, food runners, bussers, retail associates, and bar-backs. A vital part of our team, our support staff ensures smooth operation within our winery and restaurant. New hires may request a specific role of their preference, however, support staff may be rotated based upon restaurant specific needs.
Host(ess)

Responsible for answering the phone

Responsible for booking reservations and making necessary notes

Responsible for greeting our guests and making them feel welcome

Responsible for seating guests at the required pace for the servers and kitchen
Retail
-
Responsible for promoting the sales of Montaluce wine, food, and retail items
-
Interacts with the guests in a friendly and professional manner, forming a relationship between them and Montaluce
-
Responsible for maintaining the retail room
-
Expected to develop a basic knowledge of Montaluce wines
Bar-back/Busser

Responsible for polishing glassware and silverware

Responsible for clearing and cleaning tables

Responsible for resetting tables
-
Responsible for keeping the dining room and bar clean
Food Runner

Responsible for running food from the kitchen to their designated table

Responsible for getting the guest anything they may need upon delivery

Expected to develop a basic knowledge of Montaluce food
Service Bar Attendant

Responsible for making drinks for the servers
-
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of the service bar

Expected to develop a basic knowledge of all Montaluce wines, beers, and spirits
Requirements

Attention to detail - must be able to notice and attend to the minute details that make up the guest experience

Communication - must be able to properly communicate with coworkers and guests alike

Teamwork - must be able to work well with others to achieve a common goal

Troubleshooting - must be able to actively solve problems as needed (while alerting management when necessary)
Pay: $5.75/hr + 5% net sales tip-out (averages to approximately $15-30/hr including weekends)
Advancement: Employees of Montaluce will have the opportunity to advance to Server or Wine Steward.
