Maintenance Account Manager
Downer Brothers Landscaping | North Andover, MA Do What You Love. $85,000 – $95,000 + Sales Commission + Performance Bonus | Full-Time
About Us
Downer Brothers Landscaping is a family-owned company, and we're proud of that. We're not trying to be the biggest — we're trying to be the best place to work in the green industry and the best partner for the clients who trust us with their properties.
We believe great people create great client experiences. That's not just something we put on a wall — it shapes how we hire, how we lead, and how we make decisions. Our culture is built around three values — Care, Improve, and Attitude — and the people we bring on are expected to live those values, not just recite them.
The Role
We're looking for a Maintenance Account Manager to own the relationships that keep our maintenance business strong. You'll be the person our residential and commercial clients trust — the one who knows their property, stays a step ahead of what they need, and makes sure the work we deliver reflects the standard we hold ourselves to.
This is a client-facing, revenue-driving role. You'll grow your book of business through maintenance contracts and enhancement sales, and you'll be the connective tissue between our clients and the crews who serve them. When a client is happy, it's because you set the whole thing up to succeed.
What You'll Do
Own Your Client Relationships
You'll manage a portfolio of residential and commercial maintenance accounts and become the trusted point of contact for every one of them. That means proactive communication — not waiting for the phone to ring. You'll know your properties, walk them regularly, and anticipate what your clients need before they have to ask.
Grow the Book
You'll estimate and sell — new maintenance contracts, enhancement projects, and the upgrades that make a property better year over year. You'll walk sites, scope the work, build accurate estimates, and close. Growing your accounts is the heart of this role, and we'll give you the tools and support to do it well.
Bridge Clients and Crews
You'll partner closely with our Maintenance Division Manager, our Production Manager, and the field teams to make sure what we promise is what we deliver. You'll translate client expectations into clear direction for the crews — and you'll have the crews' backs the same way you have the clients'.
Protect the Experience
When something goes wrong — and in this business, sometimes it does — you'll be the one who makes it right, quickly and professionally. You'll hold a high standard across every account and treat each client relationship like it's the one that matters most, because it is.
What We're Looking For
We need someone with real experience in landscape maintenance — this isn't a role you can learn on the fly. But beyond the resume, here's what matters most to us:
You're a natural with people and you build trust fast. You're organized and you follow through — clients never have to wonder where things stand. You're sales-minded without being pushy; you grow accounts because you genuinely make properties and relationships better. You can look at a site and know what it needs, and you can price it accurately. And you care about the client experience the way we do — as something you build every single day.
Most of all, you have a real passion for this industry, for being outdoors, and for team-based environments where people show up for each other. That's what "Do What You Love" means around here — and it's the kind of person who thrives at Downer Brothers.
