TAKE BACK CONTROL OF YOUR CAREER
For over 22 years, our mission has been simple: Changing the world one child at a time.
We have an immediate, full-time need for a bilingual (Spanish/English fluent) Developmental Early Interventionist to serve families across the San Fernando Valley in their homes, during the most critical developmental window of a child's life.
If you're a seasoned, play-based neuro-developmental specialist funded through the regional center system, who thrives building trust with families home to home — this is your next role.
WE LEAD WITH TRANSPARENCY
Our average employee retention is over 8 years, and many team members have been with us for 20+ years. That doesn't happen by accident.
We believe authentic relationships start with clear expectations — no surprises, no hidden details, no bait-and-switch. As a state-funded organization held to non-profit standards, our structure ensures every employee is treated equitably.
We're telling you everything about this role upfront: the caseload, the expectations, the compensation, and the logistics. If this isn't a 100% long-term match, we'd rather know now. Our mission requires strong alignment from the start.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is home health, play-based early intervention therapy with children birth to three years old, delivered in their natural environment — home to home — across the San Fernando Valley. Early intervention has the highest success rate for clinical outcomes with children under three, and you'll be part of the proven formula that transforms young lives during their most neuroplastic years.
This role centers on parent coaching and facilitation — teaching caregivers to embed developmental strategies into everyday routines between visits, not just delivering a session and moving on.
Caseload Coverage Area (required, not a wish list): San Fernando, Van Nuys, Panorama City, Pacoima, North Hills, Mission Hills, Arleta, North Hollywood, Sunland, Granada Hills, Valley Glen, Northridge, Reseda
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are hiring an experienced, seasoned Developmental Early Interventionist / Child Development Specialist who wants a genuine full-time employment opportunity — not a fit for anyone seeking a light or part-time caseload.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a developmental early interventionist — a play-based neuro-developmental specialist, funded through a regional center, delivering services home to home
- Background as a Developmental Specialist working with the birth-to-3 population — this is a developmental, play-based model, not an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) background
- Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written) — non-negotiable
- Strong clinical experience conducting developmental evaluations, with hands-on proficiency in the DAYC-2 (Developmental Assessment of Young Children, 2nd Edition) and the HELP/HAWAII (Hawaii Early Learning Profile)
- Demonstrated skill in infant stimulation therapy and facilitating early developmental milestones through play-based intervention
- Proven ability in parent coaching — translating clinical strategy into practical, everyday caregiver action
- Exceptional communication skills, both with families and within an interdisciplinary care team
- Rock-solid follow-through: on documentation, scheduling, evaluation timelines, and family communication
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel home to home daily across the required caseload cities
- Strong work ethic, dedication, and comfort with a full clinical caseload
WHAT THE ROLE REQUIRES
We believe in full transparency about productivity expectations before you ever apply:
- Full-time employment, guaranteed within 90 days of your start date
- Willingness and ability to schedule 35 billable treatment hours per week
- Deliver an average of 30+ completed appointments per week
- Consistent, dependable scheduling across the full San Fernando Valley caseload area listed above
This role is built for a clinician who is ready to run a full, productive caseload from day one — and who wants the stability of guaranteed full-time hours in return.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
We believe in full transparency about how you're paid, not just what you might earn:
- Billable treatment rate — paid per session delivered
- Administrative rate — paid for documentation and required non-treatment work
- Drive-time reimbursement rate — paid for travel between home visits
- Production bonus — earned on billable output above the 30-hour/week average
A therapist working a minimum of 50 weeks per year and consistently average 30+ billable treatment hours per week can expect to earn between $75,000 and $90,000 annually — on top of PTO, paid holidays, and full benefits.
This structure rewards strong earners. It's built for a Type A, high-follow-through communicator — someone who doesn't just meet the productivity bar, but jumps higher than it.
