Program and Support Associate
The Washington Center for Nursing (WCN) is Washington State’s nursing workforce center and a nonprofit organization located in Tukwila, WA. As the statewide data and workforce resource center for nursing, WCN works to ensure a high-quality nursing workforce that meets the needs of communities today and in the future.
WCN advances nursing workforce development by partnering with LPN, RN, and ARNP nurse leaders from diverse and underrepresented communities, as well as educators, health care organizations, policymakers, and other stakeholders. Through research, collaboration, and outreach, WCN addresses nursing workforce challenges, supports quality nursing education, develops strategies to build a more diverse workforce, and promotes nursing as a career among students, communities, and future health care leaders.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Program and Support Associate provides project coordination, administrative support, and operational assistance for board-related functions, partnerships, and organizational initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
Support the Executive Director, the WCN Board, and key stakeholders by:
- Coordinate WCN Board of Directors and committee operations, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and materials, recording and maintaining official meeting minutes, coordinating guest speakers, tracking action items, and supporting follow-up activities.
- Support partnership activities with the Council on Nursing Education in Washington State and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with WCN staff to coordinate organizational projects and goals
- Plan and coordinate WCN-sponsored events, conferences, webinars, and educational programs, including logistics, communications, materials preparation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Developing presentation materials for the Executive Director and Board members as needed.
- Prepare surveys, reports, and data summaries using SurveyMonkey or similar tools to support organizational initiatives and evaluation activities.
- Providing professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Making business-related phone calls as assigned.
- Coordinating with content experts to prepare materials for meetings, conferences, mailings, and special projects.
- Managing the Executive Director’s calendar and coordinating meetings as needed
- Coordinating with the WCN Communications Manager to maintaining and updating the organization’s website.
- Performing general office duties and other tasks assigned by the Executive Director.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
