American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a 366-bed acute care academic medical center in Norwalk, CT, requiring an active CT RN license and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Labor & Delivery unit with possible float to maternity

Patient care includes scheduled inductions, repeat C-sections, non-stress tests, triage, infant care, and 1:1 RN care for epidural placements and Magnesium Sulfate administration

12-hour shifts available on either day (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) or night (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) rotation based on unit needs

Every other weekend required

Cerner used for documentation (experience preferred)

Active CT RN license (or compact RN license) required; a screenshot or photo of a completed license application is acceptable if the license is pending

Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required

Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Advanced)

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (EFM) course required — Advanced EFM is NOT acceptable

C-EFM certification through NCC required within one year of assignment start

Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the same specialty

C-EFM certification at time of consideration strongly preferred

NICU experience preferred

Provide 1:1 nursing care during epidural placements and Magnesium Sulfate administration

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but may be considered at a reduced rate

Candidates with prior work history at any Northwell or Nuvance Health location may be subject to an eligibility review process prior to placement

Travelers will be required to complete onboarding modules in Northwell's iLearn platform prior to assignment start

If any certifications are expiring during the assignment period, provide a renewal receipt and/or scheduled course dates
