Yafet Transportation LLC is seeking experienced and reliable Class A CDL Owner-Operators to join our growing carrier network. We are looking for independent owner-operators who own or lease their own Class 8 tractor and are committed to safe, on-time freight delivery across the continental United States.
As an owner-operator partnered with Yafet Transportation LLC, you will haul freight while maintaining compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations. Our team provides professional dispatch support, consistent freight opportunities, and timely settlements to help keep your truck moving.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own Class A commercial tractor in compliance with all FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and applicable traffic laws.
- Transport dry van, reefer, flatbed, or general freight safely and efficiently.
- Perform required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Secure and protect freight according to customer and FMCSA cargo securement requirements.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and other required transportation documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, brokers, shippers, and receivers regarding shipment status.
- Plan routes efficiently while complying with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Report accidents, delays, mechanical issues, or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain your equipment in safe operating condition and comply with all maintenance requirements.
- Represent Yafet Transportation LLC professionally while providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Must own or lease a Class 8 tractor suitable for over-the-road freight operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience preferred.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record and commitment to safe driving.
- Current DOT Medical Certificate.
- Ability to pass all required DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to operate independently while maintaining consistent communication with dispatch.
- TWIC Card or additional endorsements are welcomed but not required.
