Traveling Anime Sales Position
We are in the Anime & Comic Con business! We travel to conventions all over the USA setting up booths and selling swords & knives. Our warehouse is in Osceola, Iowa (35 mins south of West Des Moines, Iowa right off the interstate after the Lakeside Casino Exit). Your responsibility would be to drive a company provided sprinter van with several large steel carts on wheels full of merchandise, unload them and setup a booth, sell all weekend, load back up and drive to either the next show or go back home for a day or two, restock your van and head to the next show. We have show's almost every weekend so we can keep you as busy as you want or if you just want part time that's fine too. You would typically drive & work independently so being on time and a self-starter is a must. At some bigger shows we will book multiple locations and send more team members out so you would then be rooming with others in a coed situation but still work independently at your own booth.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available most weeks Wednesday-Monday
- Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Willing to drive up to 12 hours/day max at times & ability to safely drive in the dark
- Must do a basic pre-trip inspection weekly on the van (check/top off fluids, etc)
- Willing to work shows outside of just the Midwest ( travel heavy East & West Coast)
- Some knowledge of Anime or willing to learn

FLAT RATE COMPENSATION:
We do not pay hourly or keep track of hours. We pay per show. Paid via Zelle weekly on Fridays 1 week in arrears. (example: your first show ends on Sunday, you will get paid 5 days later on that Friday). We offer a flat rate based on the length of show you go to and this essentially includes all your drive time there and back, however we do offer a driving bonus to compensate for longer drives and you do have the potential to make commission.
- 2 day shows pay $600
- 3 day shows pay $800
- 4 day shows pay $900
Flat Rate Add on's to the above are as follows:
- $30 extra each time you come to Osceola to restock the van
- $30 extra when you take van for service, oil change, etc
- $100 extra if your show has you driving 14+ hours away one way
If your show one way, is 14 hours or more away, we add this on. Keep in mind it is only given once per week and isn't doubled up for each way. We based the hours on a simple google map search of the city to city so Osceola to "insert city of your show". If it is 14 hours or more you get this bonus added on
- You earn a 5% commission on any sales over $10k to start. (For example, if you sell $15K, you will get 5% on what is over the $10k, so in this example 5% of $5,000 is an extra $250 added to your pay
- As you gain more experience and show consistency in strong sales, we will change the commission scale so you are earning more, for example 5% on any sales over $8000 Instead of $10k.
